Skagway

Needless to say, after the bear visit in Juneau, we were soooo pooped today.  The 5 mile hike into the forest (climbing and then the steep decline back down)  and up and down the beach did a number on Ronnie's knee.  It was swollen and sore ,  his feet hurt from a blister and just plain ole (old?) feet , so we didn't plan anything in Skagway....the very bestest ever tour to take there is the  Yukon train and we did that on our first cruise several years ago.  Don't miss it if you come to Skagway.  Follows the route the gold rush took.

Anyway, we got off the ship and walked around a bit...visited a museum.  I left him in the museum and walked on down the street and found a shoe store!!  and he found some very,

very comfortable shoes.  That was a very good thing.  The knee had to be iced, but his feet were happy.

It was an uneventful day from there on.  We relaxed and read, ate, read, ate again and read some more.  Went out on our deck aft on this wonderful quiet balcony...not too many knew about it.

That was the day.

Had dinner in the dining room..our waiters, Bryan and Santiago from the Phillipines.
